understanding chicken tikka

Well maybe most people don't think of Indian food when they think of English cuisine—remember, as John Cleese once said regarding British food, they had an empire to run—but given the past prevalance of boiled senselessness and little spice it is refreshing to learn of the most popular food dish in England, Chicken Tikka Masala.

Those in America interested in furthering their fusion cuisine pursuits may need a source for ginger or garlic paste - I think I've found a good one at the Indian Foods Co.. (Note that the pastes are used in addition to the fresh ingredient).

I'd skip both and stick to fresh ginger and garlic... But you can get them both locally at Chongs and Indian Mix (in Coralville)...
